Dr Dhaksha Tharmaraj
Dr. Dhaksha Tharmaraj completed postgraduate Medicine at Monash University
in 2012, following a Bachelor of Radiography and Medical Imaging degree,
graduating DUX of her class in both Medicine and Radiography. She completed
her Nephrology training through Monash Health and Eastern Health and
obtained her Nephrology Fellowship in 2020. She is due to complete her PhD
in Kidney Transplantation through Monash University.
Her research has earned her the prestigious Young Investigator awards in
2024 from both the Australia and New Zealand Transplantation Society (TSANZ)
and the International Transplantation Society (TTS). Dr. Tharmaraj currently
works at Monash Health, Eastern Health, and Bass Coast Health. She has
special interests in general nephrology, kidney transplantation,
hypertension, dialysis, kidney stones, and medical imaging in nephrology.
In addition to her clinical work, she is passionate about teaching and
contributes to the education of both medical students and physicians in
training. Outside of work, Dr. Tharmaraj enjoys spending time with her young
family and friends, as well as indulging in movies, music, and travel.
