Dr Jian Bin Liu

Dr Jianbin Liu is a Consultant Endocrinologist with interest in all areas of Endocrinology and Metabolic disorders, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Thyroid/Parathyroid disorders, Pituitary diseases, Adrenal diseases, Osteoporosis/Osteopenia and other Endocrine diseases.

Dr Liu completed his medical degree and master degree in Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou China and then completed his Endocrinology training at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.

Dr Liu had practiced as a consultant Endocrinologist in China for 3 years before he came to Melbourne. After two years advanced training in Endocrinology at Eastern Health, Melbourne, Dr Liu was admitted into Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2020.

Dr Liu is committed to providing expert patient-centred care to patients. With his background from Southern China, Dr Liu is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, and is familiar with Chinese culture. Dr Liu has published 13 peer reviewed papers, participated in more than 20 international drug trials and is now a reviewer in the Journal of Diabetes.
